I have to absorb the heat every day so I can manage through the winter months. When it finally reaches 100, which it did last week, then summer begins for me. Summer is also about scents; fresh cut hay/lawn, peaches, chlorine in pools, suntan lotion, and creeks, oh, and sun warmed tomatoes. I so love summer, I could go on and on. Freddie Ann

Slipping out to the secluded screened gazebo behind my house and reading in a wicker armchair, surrounded by plants and the sound of a bubbling fountain. The feeling of peace and joy when the solar fairy lights strung along the ceiling turn on and I light several candles and breathe in the scents of a sultry summer night.
