We always took Sunday off…nothing except R&R, relaxing where ever we were staying…no running about, no tourist activities. Simply relaxing, restoring strength for what was to come.
Sometimes, we would do separate things. If my husband wanted to visit a site I didn’t want to see, I’d stay behind and visit a museum he wasn’t interested in seeing. When we came together, we each had a story of our day’s adventures.

Hi Christen,
You remind me of all the moving adventures hubby and I had when he received Naval orders to his next duty station. We were deadline driven by the date hubby had to check in, but we made time for a few must-sees!! I hope you n’ hubby had a wonderful time~ I am from Maine and miss it so, much this time of year! I love this idea of leaving time for the unplanned exploration~ You have captured the sense of treasure hunting~ I love this sense of freedom! Thank you for sharing~
