After Ove, the one called My Grandmother Asked Me… has a sequel called Britt-Marie which is just as funny heart-wrenching. On the more serious side, I just read Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart because I wanted to sit in on an interview with him about it. I’m about to finish Miss Benson’s Beetle which is a laugh out loud, very well written story of two very different women who set out on a worldly adventure and become unlikely friends. I could go on and on! @scrapcollectr on IG

It was so heartwarming. I feel that this book found me, since my 17-year old cat passed away in 2018 (no spoilers). If you are a cat-lover, you absolutely must check out this book. It is set in beautiful Japan and you could probably read it in a day!

Don’t miss it. If you like audio books, I recommend this one…the reader gets it just right!

I started a book club in my neighborhood 15 years ago and it is still meeting monthly. I’ve read so many books from the suggestions of others, that I never would have read. Some of my favorites:
The Pillars of the Earth – Ken Follett
Becoming – Michelle Obama
The Other Boleyn Girl – Philippa Gregory
Rules of Civility – Amor Towles
The Diary of a Young Girl – Anne Frank

Thank you for your recommendations! I’ll add them to the my Goodreads list.
