Be inspired by their beautiful words below:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">The Bella Poet Society: Volume 1<\/h1>\n<h3>Hello, I am by Sara Kay Hartmann<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hello, I am a<\/p>\n<p>belly-buzzing<\/p>\n<p>coffee glugger,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>booboo-kissing<\/p>\n<p>naptime snuggler,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>secret-keeping<\/p>\n<p>monster scarer,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>lullaby-crooning<\/p>\n<p>chocolate sharer,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>pinterest-cruising<\/p>\n<p>instagram scroller,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>wish-making<\/p>\n<p>dandelion blower,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>silent-praying<\/p>\n<p>magic lover,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>messy-bun-wearing<\/p>\n<p>happy mother.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Lizaliese by Cassie A. Green<\/h3>\n<p>Courageous,<br \/>\nSpirit filled fighter.<br \/>\nShe wore<br \/>\nViking colors and<br \/>\nFacial stripes.<br \/>\nWith a fierce heart<br \/>\nHer free will unanchored.<br \/>\nKissed by feathered wings,<br \/>\nGlowing vibrant dreams,<br \/>\nAnd there she stood\u2026<\/p>\n<p>At the edge and in the midst.<br \/>\nCaptive born,<br \/>\nBut freedom sworn.<br \/>\nThe wind to her cheek,<br \/>\nA warrior\u2019s calling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>A Place of Embers by Sophia Buffalino<\/h3>\n<p>Bring the waves to my soul<\/p>\n<p>In the form of a song<\/p>\n<p>Serenade me with static whispers<\/p>\n<p>Of singing boxes all night long<\/p>\n<p>Dream with me about dirty copper pots<\/p>\n<p>And windowsills full of phlox<\/p>\n<p>As we watch peterpan<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you connect my dots<\/p>\n<p>Darling, it&#8217;s just astral sand<\/p>\n<p>It sparkles because it knows<\/p>\n<p>My thoughts on<\/p>\n<p>Neverland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, you see<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t stay.<\/p>\n<p>My home is in the stars and the sea<\/p>\n<p>Where they meet<\/p>\n<p>You will find me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And if you miss my laugh<\/p>\n<p>My voice is sleeping in the trees<\/p>\n<p>When the wind kisses the leaves<\/p>\n<p>You will find me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I am gone<\/p>\n<p>But it\u2019s only because<\/p>\n<p>Everywhere I belong<\/p>\n<p>Is everywhere<\/p>\n<p>Long stories are being told by street names<\/p>\n<p>And ovens older than cities<\/p>\n<p>Bustling and busy where no one knows<\/p>\n<p>That the windows gossip and pity<\/p>\n<p>Their lack of interest in what\u2019s said,<\/p>\n<p>Fresh bread,<\/p>\n<p>Instead they push umbrellas at the rain.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And so, my love,<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t bear to remember my name<\/p>\n<p>If you crave the warmth of it<\/p>\n<p>Leaving your lips,<\/p>\n<p>Simply sip<\/p>\n<p>On hot tea and take a bit<\/p>\n<p>Of comfort in the similar taste of mine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Remember that you chose<\/p>\n<p>To love a place of embers<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget that you chose<\/p>\n<p>A force of nature to<\/p>\n<p>Love and cherish<\/p>\n<p>I had told you long ago<\/p>\n<p>That my head lives where my body is not<\/p>\n<p>And if you were to hold too tightly,<\/p>\n<p>Then I would perish.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>If you would like to submit your poetry to be featured on our blog, send your poems to: <a href=\"mailto:gracenotes@stampington.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gracenotes@stampington.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We receive countless poetry submissions for our magazine and are thrilled to create a special home for them here on our blog!
